Wooden Boat Building Epoxy






I wanted to build this boat using home depot products, to be an example for most people that can't access easily proper boat building materials. on the wood-on-wood joints, i will use a peanut. Much depends on the type of wooden boat you have. many types of wooden boat construction don't lend themselves well to epoxy. cpes (brand) or other penetrating epoxy is a waste of time, money and effort, but go for it if you have plenty to spare.. Section ix a - wooden boat construction; we can't conceive of building a boat in this method without epoxy coating and fiberglassing the plywood panels prior to cutting the planks. the boat would be impossible to fiberglass once assembled. doing it first means that except for the cut plywood edges the boat is essentially "epoxied" before it.
